My .50 Art Work
Typically, I am not the bragging type. Nope, not me. Never been.
Sure from time to time you may hear me brag on my kids, about how sweet they are, how smart they are, but nothing out of the norm. Nothing excessive.
Oh and by the way, they’re cute too.
Oh and by the way, they’re cute too.
And the plain truth of the matter is, that I would be happy for you whether you bragged or not. See, I would be over the moon that you child is the next Honey Boo-Boo star or that your 14 year old grandchild just graduated from high school and they just got accepted to Harvard .
Those things just make me happy. Thrilled. Ecstatic.
Just like this .50 art work that I created with a fork and spoon found at an Estate Sale.
They look pretty amazing sprayed in copper paint that I had
leftover from this project, and secured on a piece
of burlap and then hung on an old refinished frame.
I’m not bragging. Just saying, that’s all.
Grateful for
a country where we can exercise our right to vote

Cute! It looks great hanging above the chair… the perfect spot.
I give you a standing ovation! Well done! Really, I love it! Burlap, distressed white paint, fork and spoon- genius!
Cute idea. I didn't know you go to estate sales.
Haha, I love that you're not bragging, but seriously I do love your new thrifted awesome picture. Let me brag on you: you did great!!!
I love your bragging piece. It's the honey boo boo thing that scares me. LOL!
Very cute!! Love that first shot!
its okay to brag when you are talented with your projects n do such a good job telling us about it
n your children are too cute not to talk about n thanks for sharing n love the pic
I think my mom had some tiki tongs like those for salads. Then I remember she hung them on the wall one time. But maybe I'm remembering wrong, seems to me they were huge things, so she couldn't of used them in salads. Hellifiknow.

You've earned your bragging rights with that adorable project! Though I would've spray it silver … you know, so you can claim that whole silver spoon in the mouth thingy …

Go ahead and brag, that is fantastic, love it. It just all goes together so good, and I love the copper paint. I have never painted anything copper, but that turned out so well, I gotta find something to paint!
I love it and it's funny that I just gathered together an old frame, vintage spoon and some dropcloth fabric to make an art piece. π
Go ahead and brag – your frugal art project turned out great!
Cute and creative! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet note. I really appreciate it!
Go ahead and toot your horn π very nice!
I remember having a fork & spoon in my kitchen in the 80's. I thought it was the coolest thing. Now..I wish I had them to put on some burlap like that!
Oh Laura! How could you be thrilled with my (future) perfect grandaughter being the next Honey Boo-Boo ""star""??? I like the Harvard part though… oh well.
The copper looks great in it. Looking the thumbnails I even thought they were wood. We have some made African Art sets that are precious and these don't owe them a pence.
Keeping up with the not-bragging tone here… So… just saying π
Brag away my wonderful friend! Because there is such beauty in a craft well done.

You are perfectly right to brag. I like it! Very creative and perfect for a dining space!
Love it !

Well, I would be bragging too….not only it is a great find…but then you put it over the top by turning it into a gorgeous display!!….So that's a "double brag"…
You did a good job on your frame here Laura …and I love the color combination of your pillow and chair which bring fresh atmosphere and energetic mood.
How cool are those oversized utensils–I like what you did with them! It was great to hear from you over at my blog today–thank you so much for the encouraging words!
