3 Ways to Creatively use mini pumpkins this fall
In years past I always seem to scratch my head as I wonder what to do with the mini pumpkins used in my decor when the season was wrapping up. By most accounts they got thrown out or my kids play with them in the yard. Today I have 3 ways to creatively use mini pumpkins this Fall.
This year I decided that this would be the year of change for my Tiger Pumpkins, and created 3 Ways to creatively use Mini Pumpkins this Fall.
3 Ways to Creatively use mini pumpkins this fall
Create a Soup lid
How about using the top of the mini pumpkin to create a lid for your soup bowl. Using a sharp knife cut the mini pumpkin in half.
Just imagine jaws dropping when your guests lift up the lid to find a bowl of your favorite soup waiting for them. Click here for my hearty and healthy vegetable soup recipe.
Create a Candle Holder
You can cut the mini pumpkin in half , carve out the inside and using it to hold your seasonal candles. The candle should fit snug inside the pumpkin.
Dessert Bowl
And if that’s not enough pumpkin mojo for you, how about using the bottom of the pumpkins to serve up your favorite dessert? Cut the pumpkin in half. Use the bottom portion after cleaning it out and fill it with a favorite fall treat.
What creative ways or ideas do you have for your mini pumpkins? For more of my Fall ideas, projects and decor ideas click here.

Upcoming girls weekend with my mom and sisters.
What fabulous ideas! I especially love the desert!
Great ideas. I'm looking at 9 mini pumpkins that could use a makeover. Love the candle holders.
Awesome ideas, Laura! I must bookmark this to try next year! Happy Monday!
you are so creative n I love what you did with your mini pumpkins thanks for sharing
every single one….a terrific idea. I always hate to just toss out my pumpkins. One year I sprayed them silver and gold and kept them in the yard as Christmas decorations. 🙂 But usually I just put them in the woods for the animals to enjoy. xo
You can use the seeds and grow your own. I grew some mini whites quite by accident in my compost pile this summer.
Great ideas Laura, who knew those sweet little pumpkins could be used in so many ways! Thanks so much for visiting, hope to see you again soon!
Blessings,
Cindy
Great ideas. We just put ours out in the back of the yard for the squirrels and other critters 🙂
Beautiful ideas, Laura. I am in fact serving my Pumpkin-Butterscotch Mousse from a carved out pumpkin. Love the candle idea. I think I will borrow that. xxoo
Great ideas, Laura! Especially love the lid to the soup bowl idea. 🙂

Using them as a soup bowl lid is so creative! What cute ideas. We are entertaining teenagers this weekend so I am using mini-pumpkins for serving queso dip. They make wonderful dip and soup bowls.
So many good ideas Laura! I grew some mini-pumpkins in the garden this year, but sadly they have all rotted by now. Perhaps next year I can serve dessert in some!
What great ideas! I wish I had've seen this before I threw my mini pumpkins into the compost heap. 🙁 Will have to remember for next year.
Soups on at Laura's – what time should I be there (I'll bring the wine)!

Well done, you are right, generally they aren't very good for eating themselves, right? I love the top for soup….
