DIY Ticket Sign
Supplies Needed:
Screw Driver
Strips of 1 x 2 wood to go between the boards of the sign
Hot glue gun
Picture Hanging wire and hooks
Step 1:
Cut out and trace your TICKET letters onto your sign. I cut these letters with my silhouette machine. Size, font and position is up to you. My letters were 12 inches long for this sign and the font used was Times.
Determine your measurements for your corners and draw out on your sign
Sand down your letter edges and your corners so that they are smooth.
Apply your vinyl letters for ADMIT ONE above and below the TICKET lettering. You will want to use smaller lettering on the top and bigger letters below. I also added a set of numbers on each side of the sign in black vinyl.
Step 9:
Secure your battery operated lights with your glue gun on the back side of you ticket sign. For this sign I used 2 strands of 24 lights.
Step 10:
Before attaching your boards (with the black painted side facing in), make sure that your battery wire and compartment are on the outside of the two boards. This will allow easier access if you ever need to change your battery. Using #6 1/2 inch wood screws, secure your two boards together.
Step 11:
Secure the battery compartment on the outside of your sign with hot glue. I put mine on the bottom. Attach your picture wire and hooks to the back and you are ready to hang on the wall.
This is one sign that is sure to be a best seller!
