Closet Door turned Learning Board
There is a revolution making it’s way around my house.
Really.
Not kidding.
It’s called the Chalkboard Revolution. Have you heard of it?
Initially it got started here with this board that I made on the wall in my game room
Really.
Not kidding.
It’s called the Chalkboard Revolution. Have you heard of it?
Initially it got started here with this board that I made on the wall in my game room
Next, it surfaced in my kitchen on some re purposed trays hanging on the wall
Now, I can tell my son to go to his room and sound out his vowels on his closet door
And then when he is finished, I will have him create random words from the letters in his name.
And I need to remember to reinforce this
Who knew the chalkboard revolution could be a learning experience and decorative too.
Where to next?
Has the chalkboard revolution hit your home?
PS- Next week I will show you his Star Wars Themed Bedroom and how I decorated it without sending my budget into the Universe.

Laura, what a cute idea and I bet he loves it.
Love this idea…and what a great way to have those vowels around…may have to do this too!!
I like your chalkboard ideas, especially the cute little pails and your son's door. I have done only one small project with chalk paint. It was fun so I should do more. ———– Shannon

I had the CBpaint out yesterday but all I did was touch up some already boards. I did however walk around the house looking for a victim before I put it away.

I love chalkboards in the home. I have a few sprinkled around my home too. I'm glad that they're not just for classrooms anymore. Ha!
Love all your chalkboard projects, Laura! I'm going to start on my first chalkboard project this weekend hopefully. 🙂
What a cute idea for his room. I love them but only have one up in my kitchen. I wonder what the next craze will be–xo Diana
I was always happy when they included the often forgotten and neglected y in with the vowels!
Anything with chalkboard paint is that much better!

Laura…great door!!…you sure have so many creative chalkboards throughout the house…now, for me…I just have the vintage Olympic Training Schedule chalkboard to keep track of my rigorous training for the sales at the mall!
Your projects look great. Stopping by from Southern Blog Hop. I am also a southern blogger orginally from LA (lower Alabama) but currently live in Arkansas. I would be honored if you visit me at: http://www.recipesforourdailybread.com

I've just got one lonely little chalk board, but I've got plans! I especially like those labels on the tins!!
Great stuff, Laura! My preschool class LOVES to write on the chalkboard… it's great for gross and fine motor skills too. Just a bonus. 🙂
