Bring the ‘thought’ of the Sea into your home
Sadly, we will not be going to the beach this summer.
The family has decided on some other fun vacation destinations. So, in order to cure my desire for the beach, sand and sun, I have created some reminders in the house that ALMOST take me there, without the waves.
It’s not exactly this
But it will do.
Hey, my love for all things “beachy” continues from June 18-22 where I will share some other DIY Beach Projects along with some other sea worthy ideas from some other ‘Surfer Dude like’ bloggers.

So pretty Laura! I love the little touches of the sea in the home, without it being overwhelming. And those twins… ADORABLE!!! I know we have established that we both have twins, but I didn't realize we BOTH had a boy and girl set as well…. hahaha!
I love beach decor! I agree it does help the beach yearning to have some starfish around 🙂 Have a great day! You have beautiful children!

beautiful!!!! 🙂
Your beach inspired decor is just lovely. Great idea – if you can't get there – bring it home to you! I am happy to be your newest follower,
Kathy
I'm starting to add touches of summer too. Love your vignettes, so pretty!
I hear you Laura – there's nothing like the sand, surf and smell of suntan lotion to make a gal (and her kids) happy!

No beach for us either, at least not out of our state in summer. Maybe Winter when Minnesota is a frozen mass of nothing.
You did good adding thoughts of the ocean around the house. I could smell the salt air.

Oh everything looks so pretty and beachy!!
so glad you are joining us for the Olympics! And I love your "thoughts" of the beach!
I miss the beach!
Glad to see you hookin' up with us at The Bolggy Olympics!
I love your "beachy" decorating. I'm in the process of getting out my shells, etc. so that I can do a little summer decorating.
Beautiful beach decor, I can almost smell the ocean!
The kids are adorable. Great beachy touches.
Hello Laura,
I love the candle with the seashells around it, super cute.
Smiles, Paula
I'm still crossing my fingers we go to the beach this summer! I love your post! XO, Aimee
