Time and Patience
If you came to my house early in the morning this is what you would see as you drove down my driveway
It didn’t always look like this. During construction it looked like this
Or my future garden was a canvas of Red Georgia Clay
and now has turned into such a magical, beautiful spot
When I planted my garden, my trees, my grass, I thought everything would take so long to grow. I was impatient and wanted color and beauty the minute I put it into the ground. One
thing that gardening has taught me is, beauty comes with time and patience.
I have decided to start a new series called “The Flip Flop Gardner” ( cause that ‘s what I have on when I am in the dirt), where I will share some random but useful gardening tips and techniques that I have learned through the years as well as my own garden transformation. Hopefully it will help you, whether you have a green thumb or not, transform a part of your yard into something really beautiful to look at.
So, get your gardening gloves on cause the Flip Flop Gardner starts next week.

We're doing the same thing–digging up 25 years' worth of ivy that had grown over everything. We found all kinds of cool stuff underneath. Your garden looks great!
i need all the help I can get. I will be waiting:)
Oh fun! I am most definitely NOT a gardener, but would love to hear your tips – maybe they'll help me get out and try it!

Awesome title for the new blog = that's how I garden also – in flip flops!
Sounds like a great new series and something that I can definitely benefit from! I try so hard every year but fail miserably in the gardening department, flip flops and all!
Your images are just dreamy.

I have really enjoyed exploring your blog tonight. Your photos are beautiful and it is just a lot of fun to read. You have a new follower.
I have a weekly gathering of gardeners on Tuesdays called "How Does Your Garden Grow?". I would love to see your flip flops there. Brilliant idea. (http://www.mental-chew.com )
Fun! I just planted my first garden (at least since my childhood). I have almost no idea what I'm doing, but it has been so much fun! Looking forward to the series!
