The table that almost was’nt meant to be
Someone gave this table to my mother who was getting ready to “kick it to the curb”, shame on them.
Luckily my mother said yes.
Originally, the table had black legs but I painted them a cream color a year back. My mother still wasn’t thrilled with the table and asked if I can help it. No problem!

I applied one coat of ASCP Old White to the legs ( since they were already cream color) and two coats to the top of the table, and distressed the edges with a medium grit sandblock.
The table is a stunner!
My mother is so glad that she did not pass this one up after seeing how beautiful the table looks.
You know what they say, someone’s junk is someone else’s treasure.

That turned out so pretty. Where do you find chalk paint? Any particular stores?
Sherry's Bees Nest
Thanks Sherry. I get mine from http://www.fauxfinishbiz.com/chalk-paint.htm They are wonderful to work with. If this is your first time using you might want to get a few sample colors to try out. Bit pricey for the sample ( I think 11.00) , it's a bit smaller then the sample that you can get from Behr at HD ,but it allows you to experiment before committing to the 32.00 quart ( which is worth every cent). You will get hooked, I promise!
Thank you so much! I love the way it looks (you did a fantastic job) and thank you for coming over to my blog. Its MUCH appreciated 🙂
