Impossibilities Challenge-My Game Room
I DID IT!
Two weeks ago I signed up for the Impossibilites Challenge in an effort to re-energize myself into completing a project that had been stalled since last fall. You can read more about the history of my game room here.

Well, I am happy to say that the challenge was exactly what I needed to complete the project. As I mentioned , I work best under pressure. Always have. As a result, last Friday I had surgery on my hand to repair some tendons that have been damaged partly because, yes you guessed it Pressure to get projects done!
So, with one hand and the help of my hubby, I finished the project over the weekend.
Remember, this is where I started
I hope you like the space, not out of pity because of my injury, but because you think

Look after yourself and your poorly hand!
That is an amazing transformation. Talk about the power of paint! The black & white floor looks great with that creamy mushroom wall color. And that wall of windows? Swoon.

Fabulous, absolutely fabulous. I can't imagine anyone not having fun in this room. I'm now your newest follower.
I seriously can't believe you did this with one hand. Give that hubby a big hug from me for the help!! And all of the details – so awesome. I am in love with the vintage signs, I love all of the great designated areas, play dough and construction station out and ready to be played with. So awesome – now I'm hungry for swedish fish!!
Thanks so much for joining the challenge!

WOW! Girl, that is a fabulous space! Congratulations! I love the color scheme, the black and white floor pops where it can be seen now, instead of just looking like "too much". It looks like you have a candy store going on, your children must love that!
I hope you are recovering from your surgery quickly.
Hugs, Cindy
A great example of 'less is more' in color. You get so much varied use out of this one room, it's amazing… And now so beautiful, too. Looks great for kids, but also a grown-up decor and vibe.
What a fun room! And I can't believe you finished with your hand! I saw an earlier post from you…with your before pictures and you really got a ton of stuff done! Love it!!!
Oh I am so happy for you! It turned out FABULOUSLY! I love the pops of red organization! Absolutely brilliant! It looks like you conquered your "impossible." Thanks for joining the party!
blessings,
karianne
Amazing! I love the colors you used! Congratulations on finishing your impossibilities challenge.
Amy
That is a great space!!! It must be fun to hang out in there! Your stoplight is the coolest!
LOVE your new game room! The lighter paint make it so lighter and brighter – yet you lose NONE of the fun!
The signs rock! (We bought and made lots of signs for our new "Impossible" kitchen. And, we are still looking for more. I'll read your posts to see if you say where you got them.)
The stop light is great. And, of course the candy, popcorn, etc.!
Can you believe there are so many of us "Impossible" gals out there?

as soon as i saw your floors, i had to come visit, and it's possible that i commented on this before. we just installed this tile, b/c we want a retro modern vibe, and i love how you still kept that theatre feel here, just a little brighter. i'm thinking the baseboard had something to do with it!

Too bad about the injury, hope it healed nicely. I am stopping by from Thrifty Decor Chic's basement special. Love love your space. Fun colour and great pieces that all family basements could use.
